While racing or battling, the Nintendo DS’s top screen supplies a neater view of the participant’s kart, while the base touchscreen shows that the race’s current standings, items carried by each racer, and a map of this program. When a cup is finished, a score will be given dependent on the times and locations, which range from E into A, then to 1, two or three stars. Like in Double Dash, players get points for every finishing position.
In Time Trial mode, the player has to finish a course as fast as possible by using 1, 2 or 3 mushrooms (based on which kart is utilized ). The quickest time is then stored as a ghost, a copy of the player’s performance, which the player can race against later.
In V.S. manner, the player races onto a track of their choosing either against computer-controlled opponents or in multiplayer. The mode can be played either individually or in groups, which separates racers to a blue team and a red staff; at multiplayer, players can command which team they are put on. In addition, the number of races played and scoring system may also be modified.
Fight mode includes two game modes, Balloon Battle and Shine Runners, both that also allow the player to perform either independently or in teams.
In Balloon Battle, the player needs to pop the ring of these players by attacking themor they are able to steal balloons by fostering into other karts. Each participant starts the conflict 1 balloon. These are able to be re-inflated around 4 times. In multiplayer, if a person player loses most his/her balloons, he’s out of the game and turns into a ghost. As a ghost, a participant can only place product boxes. If the conflict is played in single player, then the game finishes and the results are declared if all the human player’s ring are popped.
